A Team Effort

On October 15th, 2012, Glen and his wife Michele decided it was time to open a shop of their own, based entirely on the principles of integrity and honesty. This simple strategy has earned Coastal Car Care an excellent reputation over the years, with a loyal customer base in North County San Diego.  


Our techs have over 150 years of combined automotive experience:


  • Glen Hoisington is an ASE-certified Master Auto Tech and has been in the automotive industry for over 45 years. 
  • Michele Hoisington has over 45 years of administrative and business ownership experience.   
  • Shawn Hoisington and Cory Hoisington each have 20 years of experience with automotive diagnositcs and repair. 
  • Stan Morlet has been an ASE-certified Master Auto Tech for 45 years and an employee with Coastal Car Care for over 10 years.
  • Dan Pluth has been an ASE-certified Master Auto Tech and employed in the automotive industry for 34 years.

We treat our customers the way we would want to be treated. A simple rule that has guided the ethics of our practice since the very beginning. We take pride in promising our clients advice justified by the vehicle's needs, not by greed.

We understand the need of a reliable shop that quickly gets customers back on the road, but we also pride ourselves in making sure the customer has direct communication with their auto technician to alleviate the stress that comes with auto repair. We want to provide our customers with all the tools and information they need to make well informed decisions for their vehicles.

Our primary goal is to anticipate and exceed our customers needs when vehicles are entrusted to us. We offer fair prices and quality parts with a 12 month, 12,000 miles warranty on parts and labor. We also work with customers to provide same day service whenever possible.
