Dan Pluth

Dan joined the Coastal Car Care family in May 2025 and enjoys the friendly comradery and teamwork setting.  

Dan is a life-long San Diegan who took an interest in cars throughout high school by taking auto shop, as well as, welding and fabrication courses.  After high school, he attended Universal Technical Institute to study automotive technology and graduated top of his class.

Dan earned his Master Technician ASE certification in 1991 and has been working in the automotive industry ever since.  His mechanical experience covers a wide variety of diagnostics, repairs and fabrication, including building at least 20 European race cars from the ground up.

Dan's first car was a 1966 Chevy truck which he was always modifying and upgrading. He enjoys the creative side of the industry and putting his personal touches on projects and repairs. 

His skills and talents, especially with the classic cars, really shine and the rest of the team is thrilled to have found him.
