Cory Hoisington has been fascinated by the inner workings of machines ever since he and his twin brother, Shawn, helped their dad rebuild the engine of an old 4Runner when they were 10 years old. His first two cars were 1977 Camaros.  He bought one as a donor vehicle for the other, which needed a motor rebuild.  He later bought two more donor Camaros to complete the project, all before he even had his drivers license.

Over the past two years, Cory has transitioned from a well-rounded technician working behind the scenes, to our front and center Service Advisor in the office.  He has excelled in this position in large part due to his 20 years of mechanical experience which allows him to confidently communicate a diagnosis and recommended repairs to our customers in an easy-to-understand manner.  He takes his time answering questions and provides a priority-based repair plan with no pressure.

Cory has worked hard to recently become an ASE Certified Master Technician.  He enjoys the daily challenges of learning how to run the family business, and is genuinely eager to provide the best customer service experience possible.  He represents Coastal Car Care’s core value of keeping the customer’s best interests at heart by providing sound advice even if it means talking them out of doing the work their vehicle needs.

Cory maintains his 1977 Camaro, a custom off-roading 1998 4Runner and his dependable Prius. When not at the shop, he’s usually found in nature wandering deserts and mountains in search of a good trail.
