Much like every Hoisington, Shawn got his start in automotive repairs at age 10 working on engine projects at home with his twin brother Cory.  His first two cars were both 1995 Camaros.  He fixed and flipped one to buy the second, which needed a motor rebuild.  Shawn completed all the work before he even had his drivers license. This project ignited his passion for performance vehicles.

Shawn’s attention to detail and meticulous work has earned him the title of Classic Car Project Manager at the shop.  Now with over 20 years of automotive experience, he is driven by a great desire to take on special shop projects such as engine swaps and performance upgrades.  His talents include  drafting original plans, fabricating custom parts, utilizing his MIG and TIG welding skills, all while incorporating a bit of creativity in all his work. Shawn has an appreciation for customers seeking to restore classic vehicles or upgrade off-road rigs. Regardless of the time it takes, he never shies from an opportunity to help a customer’s goals become a reality.

Shawn has a natural talent and vision for creating and fabricating custom bumpers, sliders, ladders, and anything metal, especially to upgrade off-road rigs.  He loves off-roading adventures in his own Jeep Wrangler from the mountains to the desert.  We call Shawn our “Jeep Specialist” for anything Jeep related, as he has repaired or replaced just about every suspension component on his Wrangler at least once, frequently while on the trail.
