Pre-Purchase Inspections
When purchasing a used vehicle, kicking the tires is no longer an option now that computers control many of their necessary functions. Coastal Car Care provides a professional, thorough and unbiased opinion of the actual condition of used vehicles before your purchase. Depending on the condition of the vehicle, our inspection can help you leverage the purchase price to account for any needed repairs.
The bumper-to-bumper inspection covers the following items and includes written documentation of our findings and suggestions upon completion:
- Scan onboard computer for trouble codes and efficiency of emission components
- Engine performance test and transmission for proper operation
- All fluids for leaks, condition, and proper level
- Engine coolant temperature range
- Life of brake pads, condition of calipers, discs/drums, and emergency brake
- Usable life of the tires
- Belts, hoses, CV joints, boots, exhaust, and suspension components
- Instrument cluster and all working electric features within the interior of the vehicle
- Heating and air conditioning systems
- Hidden damage from accidents or abuse
- Condition of the exterior body
