Stan Morlet has been an ASE Master Certified Technician for over 40 years and has been with Coastal Car Care for over 10 years. He’s certified in everything bumper to bumper but specializes in differential repairs, front ends, brakes, and alignments. Stan works to keep his certifications up to date by constantly keeping up with developing technologies and mutually learning new things from the younger Hoisingtons who he has generously mentored all these years.

Stan has spent his career working at several other shops and dealerships, both here in San Diego and in other states, but he was straightforward when saying this has been the finest place he has ever worked. He enjoys being here because he doesn’t see the shop as a place of employment or having to answer to a boss figure of any kind. He’s here because of the mutual respect held towards everyone on the team and because they’re simply a family. He truly feels good knowing this isn’t a place that generates stress; it’s a peaceful environment to work and help out people he considers his friends.  

Stan is working on an exit strategy to start the next chapter in his life: retirement.  While we wait for those plans to take shape, Coastal is happy to hold onto him for as long as they can.

Stan’s first car was a 1965 Lincoln-Party-Wagon-Continental.  Later cars included two Chevelles, a 1976 Datsun pickup, and a 1984 Toyota XLT 4WD.
