Glen Hoisington grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and started his years in automotive working on engine rebuilds in the family garage with his brother and later, prepping his own motorbikes for road races. He grew up surrounded by classic cars and personally owned six different Camaros that he would repair and maintain himself. By the mid 70’s, he began educating himself in automotive, attending tech school in Colorado, and becoming a professional mechanic by 1982. 

Glen’s aspiration to start a shop of his own came from the understanding that certain shops he had worked for weren’t very personal with their customers and focused too much on the bottom line rather than the quality of work. Glen takes pride in his trade and seeks to do right by people who trust him with the quality and safety of the vehicles they depend on. Thanks to the contributions of his family, Glen and his wife, Michele, created Coastal Car Care in 2012. The golden rule remains at the forefront of the business; treating customers like your own family and with integrity. 

Having great attention to detail, Glen brings over 45 years of experience to his shop and is well versed in building performance vehicles.  He off-roads his daily driver 4Runner “Sherpaw” and understands the needs of people trying to escape the pavement.
